The 43rd session of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held in Geneva (Swiss Confederation) from 13 to 17 March 2023. The meeting was attended by the head of the Intellectual Property Office (IPO). During the meeting, the provisions of the draft agreement "On Broadcasting Organizations", as well as issues related to limitations and exceptions of copyright and related rights were discussed.

During the visit, by prior arrangement, an Agreement was signed between the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and the Academy of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on the establishment of a national intellectual property training center in the Republic of Armenia.

About 30 IP specialists will be trained in the educational center. WIPO will provide training materials for the organization and delivery of the courses. WIPO will also provide a full team of trainers to train the training center trainees during the 2 years of the project.

Specialists who have successfully completed the training courses will have the opportunity to teach in the field of intellectual property.
