The delegation of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), led by President Grigory Ivliev, arrived in the Republic of Armenia from March 23 to 27.

During the meeting with Christine Hambaryan, the Head of the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, the parties discussed current issues, including the preparatory works related to the upcoming session of the Administrative Council of the EAPO, the participation of the Republic of Armenia in the International Legal Forum and the Eurasian Forum of Young Inventors to be held in Saint Petersburg in 2023.

EAPO President Grigory Ivliev emphasized constructive dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with the Republic of Armenia. This cooperation is based on the implementation of a number of projects, protecting the interests of the member countries of the EAPO and their departments.

During the visit, the EAPO president also met with the Eurasian patent attorneys of the Republic of Armenia. The parties have expressed their willingness to support the initiative of the creation of the "Organization of Eurasian Patent Attorneys", which will become a platform for ensuring a working dialogue between the professional representatives of the community and the EAPO, as well as for the training and qualification improvement of Eurasian Patent Attorneys and exchange of opinions. The Conference of Eurasian Patent Attorneys is planned to be held on April 26, 2023, on the International Day of Intellectual Property.
