On September 25, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Intellectual Property Office of the  Ministry of Economy of the RA and the "American University of Armenia" Foundation to establish an Intellectual Property Training Program in the Republic of Armenia.

The Intellectual Property Training Program started in 2023 within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the IP Office on establishing a national training center for intellectual property in RA. It will operate within the framework of the AUA Extension Department of the Republic of Armenia.
The program aims to provide/implement professional training on intellectual property, to ensure the training of qualified intellectual property professionals, to improve education on intellectual property in the RA and to expand the scope of interest in it, particularly among young people, and to increase the level of awareness of the field of intellectual property.

The program will start next year and will be ongoing.
