In the annual report "Global Innovation Index 2024" published on September 26 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) the Republic of Armenia has improved its position by 9 points compared to the previous year, occupying the 63rd position out of 133 countries in the world.

The Global Innovation Index ranks countries annually according to their capacity for and success in innovation, published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). It was created in 2007 by the INSEAD business school and the British magazine World Business.

The capacity index of innovative economies is grouped into two sub-indices: the Innovation Input Index and Innovation Output Index. The Innovation Input is composed of institutions, human capital and research, infrastructure, market complexity, business complexity that enable innovative activities.

Innovation Output Index includes productivity of knowledge and technology, as well as creativity.
