On December 5-6, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana, hosts the international conference "Anti-Counterfeit-2024", dedicated to countering illegal trafficking in industrial products, as well as protecting intellectual property rights. The conference is attended by representatives of government agencies of the EAEU countries, heads of large companies and organizations, and leading international experts. During the plenary session of the conference, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia S. Mikaelyan made a speech in the format of a videoconference. In his speech, he touched upon the amendments made to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, the Civil Code, and the Law "On Customs Regulation", which clarify the norms and toughen penalties for violations of intellectual property rights. He also discussed the improving regulation to counteract violations of rights in the digital environment. The forum's agenda includes a plenary session and 10 discussion sessions, which employees of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Armenia attend.
