On 28-29 January 2025, the Geographical Indications (GI) Conference, titled “Safeguarding our Heritage, Cultivating our Future”, took place in a hybrid format at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) headquarters.
This event was organized by the EUIPO, in collaboration with the European Commission. The conference addressed the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in the field of geographical indications for both craft and industrial as well as agricultural products.
Building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the EU Intellectual Property Office and the Intellectual Property Office of the RA (AIPO), and with the aim of fostering a common understanding and operational framework for geographical indications in the EU, representatives from the AIPO Office were invited to participate in this significant event online.
