On June 16, the second five-day training course titled “Recent Developments in Intellectual Property and Advanced Teaching Methodologies” commenced at the American University of Armenia. The course is designed for future instructors of Armenia’s National Intellectual Property Training Center.
The training is jointly organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, the WIPO Academy, and the Extension Department of the American University of Armenia.
The establishment of the National Intellectual Property Training Center of the Republic of Armenia began in the fall of 2023 based on the memorandum signed between the WIPO Academy and the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. Since the start, the first of the planned two training courses has been conducted by the teaching staff of the WIPO Academy in a distance learning format. On September 25, 2024, based on the memorandum signed between the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the American University of Armenia Foundation for the purpose of establishing an intellectual property training center in the Republic of Armenia, the National Intellectual Property Training Center will operate at the American University of Armenia The training course will be attended by the beneficiaries of the National Intellectual Property Training Center, who will be certified as experts in the field of intellectual property after the course..
