On July 9, 2025, within the framework of the 66th Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held in Geneva, the Armenian national pavilion was officially inaugurated. The aim of the pavilion is to highlight Armenia’s cultural and creative potential on the international stage.
The opening ceremony was attended by WIPO Director General Daren Tang, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan, delegations from WIPO member states, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Swiss Confederation Hasmik Tolmajyan, several foreign ambassadors, as well as representatives of the cultural and diplomatic communities.
Opening remarks were delivered by WIPO Director General Daren Tang and Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
The pavilion showcases the finest examples of traditional Armenian crafts - including embroidery, carpet weaving, pottery, miniature painting, and other forms of folk art - representing the living process of preserving and transmitting creative heritage across generations.
As part of the exhibition, a performance of traditional Armenian music and dance was also organized, adding a vibrant dimension to the national pavilion and allowing visitors to gain a fuller understanding of Armenian cultural identity. Guests of the event also had the opportunity to taste traditional dishes of Armenian cuisine.
The Armenian pavilion will remain open throughout the WIPO Assemblies, serving as a platform for cultural dialogue, collaboration, and the appreciation of national identity.
