On July 10, 2025, within the framework of the General Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, an official meeting took place between the delegations of the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The parties discussed ways to deepen cooperation, highlighting the importance of updating legal regulations, exchanging expertise, and developing institutional capacities. During the meeting, reference was also made to the EUIPO support program being implemented in 2024–2027, which aims to strengthen the capacities of partner countries in the field of intellectual property. The program includes study visits and trainings, platforms for experience exchange, legislative consultancy, and institutional cooperation.
EUIPO highly appreciated the initiative and engagement of the Armenian Intellectual Property Office in the program and proposed to launch cooperation with Armenia by organizing a joint workshop in Yerevan.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration and contributing to the strengthening of the intellectual property sector through joint efforts.
