From July 22 to August 7, 2025, in the cities of Beijing and Dalian, People’s Republic of China, a seminar-training entitled “Digital Economy Development between China and Armenia” was held.
The seminar was organized by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, within the framework of the Chinese government’s programs for bilateral cooperation in the field of human resources development.
Representatives from the Republic of Armenia, including an official from the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy, participated in the event. The program presented China’s experience in digital economy development, opportunities for international cooperation, as well as methods for applying digital technologies in the economy, trade, and governance.
Participants had the opportunity to visit leading Chinese technology and manufacturing enterprises, learn about their activities, product ranges, and export practices to international markets. The program also included study visits to cultural and historical sites, museums, and industrial centers.
As a result of the training, it was emphasized that the application of advanced digital technologies and innovative tools can significantly enhance the effectiveness of intellectual property protection, accelerate enforcement processes, and contribute to the detection of unfair practices. The knowledge and experience gained through participation will make a significant contribution to the development of the digital economy in Armenia, particularly to strengthening the technological capacities related to the intellectual property sector.
