From 11 to 12 November 2025, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) jointly with the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia conducted a fact-finding mission. It was carried out within the framework of the EU4IP programme funded by the European Union (EU).
Representatives of the European Union Intellectual Property Office arrived in Armenia as part of the mission. The aim of the visit was to conduct a fact-finding mission, meeting and engaging with stakeholders, holding discussions with divisions responsible for or involved in IP issues to identify the priorities and needs of the sector. The discussions will lead to the preparation of the second annual work plan of the EU4IP programme, funded by the EU, which aims to strengthen IP rights in Armenia.
EUIPO is responsible for the management of EU trademarks, industrial designs and EU geographical indications for craft and industrial products. It provides protection for intellectual property objects in all EU Member States through a single registration procedure. In addition to registration services, the EUIPO plays a key role in the promotion and enforcement of IP rights, working closely with national and regional IP offices, international partners and enforcement institutions.
