The IP4Apps Bootcamp, an intensive three-day international training, concluded at Armenian State University of Economics. The program was organized jointly by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, and ASUE.
The program aimed to develop the skills of young programmers and students in the fields of intellectual property protection and mobile application development. The training was conducted by Professor Malcolm Bain from the University of Barcelona, an expert nominated by WIPO.
During the three-day course, participants engaged in interactive discussions, team exercises, quiz games, and case studies, deepening their knowledge of copyright, trademarks, patents, and industrial design protection. The program allowed students to understand the role of intellectual property in innovative projects and its practical significance in modern digital and business environments.
At the end of the event, participants received joint certificates from ASUE, WIPO, and AIPO, and earned the opportunity to participate in the IPplication Project competition by developing an educational application on intellectual property. The top three participants of the competition will be invited to Geneva to visit WIPO’s headquarters, attend thematic meetings, and learn about the organization’s activities.
