On November 26–27, 2025, in Yerevan, the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), organized a workshop dedicated to the activities of copyright and նrelated rights collective management organizations.
The workshop featured speakers from WIPO, experts from various European countries, and representatives of relevant institutions of the Republic of Armenia. Participants included representatives of interested state bodies, the professional community, and the civil sector.
During the workshop, a range of topics was discussed, including WIPO services in the field of collective management, effective practices of licensing, collection and distribution, copyright infrastructure, challenges and opportunities for collective management of rights in the digital era, effective practices for determining copyright remuneration, as well as effective governmental oversight and monitoring mechanisms.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anushik Avetyan, and the Head of the Intellectual Property Office.
Speakers included a representative of WIPO, the regional head of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), the Executive Director of the Hungarian collective management organization “Artisjus,” representatives of Poland’s leading collective management organization and authors’ association “ZAiKS,” as well as experts from Armenia’s professional community.
