On 6 February 2026, the regular meeting of the working group on the implementation of consistent and proper work in the field of positioning Armenian trademarks was held. Representatives of companies producing various food products participated in the meeting, expressing interest in registering and protecting their products as designations of origin, geographical indications, or traditional specialties guaranteed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Intellectual Property Office and the Agro-processing Department of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, President of the non-governmental organization “Development and Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions,” as well as a number of producers from the agri-industrial sector.

During the meeting, issues related to the presentation of a list of specific products for registration as designations of origin, geographical indications, or traditional specialties guaranteed were discussed, along with the development and presentation of their technical specifications.                       The meetings of the working group are held on a continuous basis.
