The 18th session of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held from June 2 to 4, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland, and was attended by an employee of the Intellectual Property Office.
The purpose of the session was to ensure the exchange of experience between Member States, international organizations and stakeholders in the areas of intellectual property rights protection, improvement of law enforcement policies and formation of respect for intellectual property. During the discussions, the participants presented national experience in implementing initiatives and strategic campaigns aimed at raising public awareness of intellectual property. The agenda of the session included issues related to intellectual property law enforcement policies and institutional arrangements, administrative and criminal law enforcement models, mechanisms for resolving intellectual property disputes and a number of other topics. Online copyright infringements, challenges to online law enforcement, liability of intermediary organizations, as well as the use of technology and artificial intelligence in law enforcement processes were the subject of separate discussion.
During the session, the representative of the Office made a presentation, highlighting the awareness-raising activities and initiatives aimed at building respect for intellectual property implemented by the Office. The programs, workshops, information campaigns, educational events and projects implemented within the framework of international cooperation aimed at increasing public knowledge about intellectual property were presented.
