From 16 to 17 September 2026, a national training on intellectual property enforcement was held in Yerevan. The training was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Armenia. The training aimed to enhance the knowledge of law enforcement representatives on IP rights enforcement and contribute to the development of cooperation and capacity in the field.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Head of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Armenia and a representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the United States of America, and the institutions of the European Union, as well as experts from law firms, participated as speakers.

The training covered the importance of IP rights enforcement and fostering respect for intellectual property, national legislation, as well as strategies, methods, and tools for investigating IP-related crimes. The mechanisms of international cooperation and mutual legal assistance were also addressed. The final part of the training included practical training on product identification, supported by the organizations “INTA” and “React”, during which approaches to verifying product authenticity and detecting counterfeit goods were presented.
